Umineko no Naku Koro Ni – 23 – breakthrough

Talk about action, this episode of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni becomes an action packed fight entailing a mystery to it. Apparently, the grandchildren of Kinzo were given the test of their resolve and they did give interesting answers but someone has to be outstanding enough. George is the answer.

Given with 3 choices to choose who you will kill to become the successor, George chose “everyone except Shannon”.. brave move and Gaap acknowledges him as the new Demon King. (wtf?) Of course, the first person George chose to kill is Gaap. He is good indeed, pretty much pawning Gaap.

Jessica’s side took a different change though, her initial choice that she will choose to end her own life instead was nothing more than a farce in my opinion. She takes the offensive as a successor and fired up determination.

With the series ending soon, the next episode will feature Battler and Maria..which is gonna be interesting as they are not that determined and could be easily influenced.

What does it have to take to end this arc ? Is it another of Beatrice’s beautiful setups for a endless arc ? or perhaps…Ange…..hmm

On Ange’s side in 1998, another mystery is uncovered. Yes another mystery which the children of the victims in Rokkenjima received a great fortune. Also, what did Ange saw in the plastic bag that caught her with a bad surprise.

No bloody scenes and Battler from the alternate world did not make an appearance either…something tells me we are up for a surprise next episode
