Umineko no Naku Koro Ni – 10 & 11

The 2 episodes conclude yet another arc in Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, well of course, everyone died in the end again. However, this time, it was a lil gross towards the end. The creators did put in some detail on how the gore was carried out. Beatrice is indeed, ruthless.

While the gore and killings goes on in the arc, we still get some “touching” moments in this arc, especially when Battler was on the brink of breaking down and his constant challenge by Beatrice. He did break down at least in the illusion world and Rosa was the one who actually resisted towards the very end and gave motivation to Battler in the Beatrice’s world.

a tearful ending ?

It is no doubt that Beatrice’s magicks (or was it really magic?) were too strong for Shannon but she did put up a fight against the impossible odds. Again, it shows Beatrice’s utmost ruthless determination to get Shannon acknowledge her. However, Shannon did not acknowledge herself as Beatrice’s furniture in the end although she met a fateful death, things might get interesting in the next arc.

There might be some truth though behind what Beatrice had mentioned – “wait till the 4 eyed man eyes you with lust”.

Genji, a mysterious servant to Kinzo and in the end of this arc, it looks like he’s serving Beatrice. A very suspicious guy with a doubtful background. He is definitely skilled in killing or dealing with Beatrice. His involvements are pretty much unknown till this point.

At the end of the madness, it is the usual tea session among the witches again. Bernkastel had confirmed her involvement in the game and will be going all out in the next arc. Lamdadelta made her first appearance in this episode and she is gonna go against Bernkastel due to the previous game against her which she lost.

Of course, that makes her an ally of some sorts to Beatrice.

Umineko is definitely getting interesting here with Lamda and Bernkastel’s involvement. Another mass killing awaits us.
