CLANNAD ~After Story~ – An Epic Sadness Episode ?

I’m..speechless.. Really, I don’t know what to say.. It’s all too sudden.. I mean, I was expecting this to happen, but not this soon (I know what will happen, but I didn’t how it happens before watching the episode).. Ugh..I thought it was a joke, since this is way too early and I was expecting it to happen much later in the series. But after thinking for awhile and after reading people’s thoughts on the episode, then it hit me, this is not a joke, it’s real, Nagisa is gone…

I shed some tears afterward, and while writing this.. This is too much to handle even for me, so who knows how Tomoya feels now.. Losing someone so dear and important to him.. I can’t imagine how Tomoya is going to live his life after this, but that’s where Ushio comes in. No doubt that Tomoya will end his life as well, but since Ushio, Nagisa’s wish is with him now, he can’t possibly break his promise with Nagisa.

With Nagisa gone, the love story in CLANNAD ends.. After almost 40 episodes of Tomoya x Nagisa, this episode ended it with a tragic end. As a person who has blogged CLANNAD since the first season, I pretty much know more about what happened during their school days till now, thus this episode left a bigger impact to me.. Nagisa..after 40 episodes watching her live her life, becoming stronger and going through life’s hardships, I have grown to like her. As the story progresses, I like her even more, and it hurts me more since I knew that this moment will come, and it’s harder to accept that fact now that I have grown to like her even more. And now that it happened, I don’t know what to say..

As for Tomoya, I don’t agree with him when he said that he and Nagisa should never have met. Lots of things were made possible because they were together, relationships became stronger, lives were saved, wishes came true, and finally, Ushio was born because they were together.. Not to forget that being together made both of their lives better. Both of them are weak in their own ways, but together they became stronger, and most importantly, they were happy together. Eventually it will lead to Nagisa’s death, but even so, Nagisa was happy that she met Tomoya. So I don’t agree with Tomoya, he did the right thing in the past, and hopefully he will do the same in the future..

CLANNAD after this will not be the same. Without Nagisa, CLANNAD will never be the same. I don’t know what will happen after this, and we still have 8 episodes left to go, so I’m looking forward to it. All I know is that, it will be hard for Tomoya from now on, and it will be hard for me to watch him suffer. But now that CLANNAD has gone this far, I will definitely watch it till the end..
