According to Sankei, Osaka court has found Isamu Kaneko, the creator for Japan’s famous P2P file sharing program not guilty of all charges. Winny, widely known for its anonymous file sharing program raised concerns regards to infringement of intellectual rights.
Isamu Kaneko, currently at the age of 39 is computer scientist who was accused of being an accomplice to the crimes of the users of his software, despite having no contact or relations with the users other than being the developer of the software.
The judge have ruled that being aware of the possibility of infringement due to the nature of the software does not constitute to the abetting of the crimes
