Windows Phone 7 Goes Official, Gets Xbox Live

Every mobile enthusiast is prolly excited with Microsoft unveiling its latest creation – Windows Mobile 7. No wait, it is now officially known as Windows Phone 7 series.

Based on a new Windows CE 6.0 kernel, the new OS paves a revolutionary path for itself. A total change ? It’s still too early to tell but it is looking good.

Based on the comparison list by folks from Engadget, Windows Phone 7 series do not require a stylus and is finger-friendly. Along with the integration with Zune and Xbox, it has built-in social networking tools. The browser is of course, still IE but a new build of it. Multi-touch is present in the OS as well.

This will be a good contender against the iPhone OS and Google’s Android, no? Here is a video advertisement for Windows Phone 7 series.
