Never expected Windows 7 to have such a interesting feature – God Mode. Indeed, this is not a fake and I have tested it myself personally.
To activate God Mode in Windows 7, simply create a new folder and name the folder with this string:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
Confirm the naming and you will notice the icon of the folder changing into a system icon. Double click it and you will have access to all administrative features of Windows 7.
This works on Windows Vista 32bit as well but some says doing this on a 64 bit VISTA will crash the OS. ^^ Remember to save your work before doing this trick. For Windows 7, both editions work, I have tested on Win7 64bit only
Now, be a god and manipulate the OS at your will.
Noticed this news isnt that new, news can be found almost everywhere including CNET, Gizmodo.

Interesting. Going to try it.
tried it on my 64-bit vista. yeah, it crashed. pain in the ass to fix. but now I can say that I’ve surpassed godmode HAHAHAHAHA! ahem.
how did you fix it? it is happening to me too.
That’s so useful, I hate having to navigate through the maze that is the control panel. For some reason, though, when I name the folder that, it shows the end part, too, even though on most sites I’ve seen it only shows Godmode.
I tried it and this is actually very useful. But I renamed it soon to “shortcut” because it is one.
For any crashes in Windows Vista x64, here is solution – http://bit.ly/5Klxj4
Windows 7 GodMode : Old wine in new bottle. – http://bit.ly/5r3iGM
doesn wok on mine
^^; it does help!
Seems that here are all the configurable options on W7, but it doesn’t need to named GodMode, you can name as you want, just keep the extension, mine is SuperCP.
I’m runnig both W7 64 & 32 bit oses and in my 64b install the explorer crash if I scroll to the end of the window with the scroll bar!
