Uniquely Singapore: Prologue to my “Not-so-Otaku” travel…

Having a long leave once a year is great and with the arrival of my gf’s relatives, I was able to bring them around some parts of Singapore. Unfortunately, with the lack of time, there were places I could not bring them to.

Over the course of the next few days, I will be posting up photos that I took when I was bringing them around. Of course, just the photos of the scenery only. Call it it a travel log or something, it is taken at my own time with my Canon Powershot S5 IS (yes, i do not have a DSLR). I will be starting the post with a few photos that I took in Changi Airport.

The marvel of Changi Airport’s…escalator? :)

Changi Airport consists of 3 main terminals and a Budget terminal (not linked to the main 3 terminals but can be reached with a shuttle bus). The newest, being Terminal 3 have one of the “glossy” looks with it. The glass panes and all the structure layout is simply a marvel to admire with.  The photo above was taken when I was moving up with a escalator.

A beautiful Christmas tree

Ahh yess, the festive season is here and the airport is dangled with some beautiful lights and christmas trees.

Notice that little amount of people ? I was there early in the morning..maybe 8am? This is the Check in counter in Terminal 2, notice how big it is.

With my noobish photography skills, it took some time for me to take this shots as lighting was a problem and I dislike using the flash as it spoils the natural feel.

A closer look at the check in counter with a nice advertisement behind.

The crowd increases…

It wasn’t really a pleasant morning for me that day as I was still suffering from my gastric flu…darn but I was still able to eat some ramen in Sakae Sushi located on the upper floor. The food left an unsettling feeling and the price of everyone’s food totalled to about $90.

This concludes my mini prologue post, our travel to the hotel was fast along the expressway. Traffic wasn’t heavy as it was a weekend morning. My next post will be about my travel in Orchard and that will be pretty much in detail… :)
