SOY Cosplay has been one of the cosplay events that I am looking forward and we are glad to be able to get some official insights of what’s gonna happen and some photos of the new event location in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. That’s right, SOY’B 2010 is gonna be held in a newly built Convention Center there
Date: 30th January 2010
Venue: Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Unlike the previous event, SOYB 2010 will require an admission fee:
$5 (Door)
$3 (Pre-order)
New Location
The event is relocated from LT26 to the Convention Centre. Needless to say, it is fully air-conditioned! Apart from that, here are some highlights of the location:
- Cafe area
- LT68 A-D = Basment 2
- LT68E = Basement1, comes with a stage
- Larger space than previous event.

4. No additional fee to compete, but contestants have to pre-order and collect their tickets during the auditions/briefing in mid Jan 10
Merchandise
Expect merchandise from artist booths, collectible items and even possibly exclusive SOY’B mascot (points at tofu) items that will unveil during the event itself. No worries though, they aren’t made of soy beans ^^

Keeping our mouths mum about it first, there is a special “something” that is gonna come up during SOY’B’.

Is there any outdoor area suitable for shooting nearby, or can we expect another massive indoor human jam problem
we were told that there is a large open area available for cosplayers to have photoshoots so the human jam issue MAY be lessened.
But that is no guarantee that when a popular event starts the jam will not arise.
just wondering if non cosplayer can get in also?
