Sony Entertainment’s Masami Kando unveils a future Home update to allow for direct access to the PlayStation Store (ain’t we have enough of the Store Icons in our XMB?!). His reason given was to allow players to purchase, download demos from the Playstation Store directly.

Showing off 2 demos in a press conference, it was known that playback of net radio broadcasts, podcasts, and television commercials (running on a virtual Bravia), all of which could be synchronized across multiple users is possible.

The other demo includes a virtual “pet” which will interact with the player, well, to be more honest, I would hope more environments in the Home itself. The pet could move freely about your room and react to your calls.

No guaranteed release date given. Lets just hope we get to see more interesting stuff coming for Playstation 3.
