Singapore: Nintendo Wii To Help Elderly

local researchers plan to install a Nintendo Wii in community centres and nursing homes — and study its ability to get the elderly moving

A team of researchers from Nanyang Technological University received S$10,000 from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group to begin their research.

Looks like Wii’s popularity might have found another edge here in Singapore in helping the elderly to get them to exercise and perhaps physio rehabiliation?
