2ch was attacked not long ago by hackers from Korea according to source and now they have vowed to take it down again. The hosting company which is based in California have reported the case to FBI which the case is currently under investigation.
Reasons are not clear at why the hackers are targeting 2ch but they have formed a league known as “The League of Patriots,” and their 2nd assault is believed to begin on 6th March.

March 1 was independence day for the ROK which was why the hackers decided to attack several major japanese sites including 2ch.
Wow, I can’t believe how many people are writing about this. The American tabloids are just digging their nose in other countries’ business like they always do and getting the facts wrong.
Korea makes attacks on 2ch annually on March 1st and the only reason they succeeded this time was because more citizens were angrier than usual this year. Many Japanese people normally discriminate against Koreans and vice-versa, but when a Korean student had been killed by a Russian student, some posters on 2ch stated that it was good riddance to and Russians should be praised. A person had actually DIED and those posters said it was a good thing?
Japan laid the bait and Korea was foolish enough to take it with more strength this year. The FBI has no reason to investigate this just because America might have better relations with Japan and it has a tiny bit more to do with them this year.[/rant]
That is not the reason EPICman. The only reason the FBI are involved is because the servers that host 2ch also hold US federal websites. Even if they didn’t have any intention of attacking the US, they brought down government servers and that cannot be overlooked.
