If you were hoping that the US version of Final Fantasy XIII will be released this year, you may be disappointed.
Square Enix Boss – Wada told Reuters that the overseas launch will be next year. Good thing I know a basic share of the Japanese language. I can’t believe that fans have to wait up for another year just for a localised english version.
Square Enix also plans to launch the next version of “Final Fantasy” in 2009 in Japan, further strengthening its product lineup.Overseas launches of the latest “Final Fantasy” game will come in the business year from April 2010 or later, Wada said.

After being over-hyped ever since the first announcement of the game, we finally know the released date.
IF they don’t delay it, that is..
I had a conversation with Square Enix most notibly SEI Neil.
I had to question him about the tax-date. Because as far as i’m concerned. 2009’s Tax Year, hadn’t begun yet. When questioned SEI Neil couldn’t answer if it was 2009 or 2010 and instead rudely told me to just accept this.

Let’s put it this way: the demo’s out, yay. You can import the game when comes out, and even yet, there’re so many great games coming this year. Hell, get Uncharted 2 and play the first game first. That’ll keep you busy.
