Dattebayo, a fansub group for one of the popular anime series, Naruto have officially announced it will stop fansubbing and distrubuting Naruto on 15th Jan 2009 which have also stated that coming Jan 15, you will be able to watch Naruto for a small fee in Crunchyroll, the same day it airs in Japan.
Obviously, the move by Dattebayo means something. Viz Media and Crunchyroll have gotten their acts together and if they continue fansubbing, it wont do any good for them as well.
While they have stopped Naruto, it was also mentioned they are still subbing Bleach.

This is a very very very bad news for all of us. If I’m not mistaken, Naruto has about 40k downloaders. I glad they still subbing bleach. Else I really don’t know what to do.
I feel no loss =P
Haha..
I pity those who watch the series.
Imagine after watching 300++ episodes of the series, you won’t see the ending.
Unless someone else picks it up.
