BlazBlue has been confirmed for PSP release, albeit like Guilty Gear series before. With the port to a handheld, there is a difference in the graphics to cater the performance capability on the handheld. However, the handheld version will have some extra gameplay elements to cover that.
The PSP version will have an ad-hoc mode for competitive fights. Multiplayer actually supports four players, with two waiting on the sideline and watching the current match. Also, featuring a Legion mode where players face off against an enemy team in 1 on 1 fights. Wipe out the team and you are able to add one of the opponent characters to your own army, which can grow to 20 members.
The goal is to scout enemies and build up a powerful army and battle the Unlimited characters who appear as bosses….not to mention, the Unlimited characters are selectable.
BlazBlue PSP will retail on February 25 at 5,040 yen. A download version will be offered simultaneously for ¥4,500.
