Akibanana (A87) Cafe Trip

So, what is Akibanana, you ask. It ain’t a banana boat nor a shop that sells bananas but a lovely cafe located in Singapore. Akibanana began as a community site which evolved into a cafe – Akibanana Cafe or A87  Cafe, offering a cosy space for otakus and humans alike to chill out and relax with lovely butlers and cute meidos to serve you with food.

We hesitated no longer and TBE along with our fellow WLNF guys wasted no time in invading checking out the cafe………with our lovely figurines and dolfies of course.

Akibanana Cafe is located at 108 Tanjong Pagar Road which is about 5-10 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station Exit A. Be reminded that there should be NO photography of the meidos and butlers, other things like the location, figurines and merchandise are allowed as stated in their menu.

We were fortunate to check out the cafe while they are having this Banana Boot Camp where the new “recruits” was there to serve us. If I remember their names, they were Hoshii in butler dress-up and Mikan in meido dress-up (moe meganekko is kawaii ^^ ) who served us on that day.

While personally maid cafes are not really my kind of thing, it certainly was an interesting experience to try one out right here in Singapore. For poor souls such as me who has never been to Japan’s holy places before (please note the correct kind of holy places I am referring to :3), this is as close as it gets. :3
It was really nice of them to let us hang around there and do what we always do with our figurines. You can imagine the noise a large group for mostly guys can make. XD
