A Saturday Morning At Zhen Hua Park

It’s a nice fuzzy warm Saturday morning and I decided to have my breakfast outdoors and a walk to the park near my house. Took a Sony Cybershot W150 PnS camera with me (instead of my old powershot s5) and here I go! ;D

Not a bad PnS camera I got, unfortunately not too much manual settings but the basic ISO, exposure settings are stilll there to play around. Regardless, the focus of this post is not about photography, just some photos of my neighborhood.

Breakfast

For those who lived near Bangkit, you will be aware of the coffee shop (kopitiam). I had beehoon with luncheon meat and egg. Cheap and nice

the pathway in the market

Many people are busy walking around buying food in the market and of course some cheap stuff along the pathway. A great fire consumed many shops last time and now it is rebuilt.

tranquility

After walking past the market, I made way to the park – a total difference from the hustle and bustle in the market. Here, you experience tranquility, there are a couple of people doing exercises but it is peaceful. If you stopped for a while to observe and listen – the sound of crickets and the chirp of birds can be a ease to your mind.

It was sunny and warm but the occasional wind makes it a good chance to relax yourself in the park after a week’s work.

As you walk further down, it will be pretty deserted, although occasionally you will see  1 or 2 jogging along the path. Some beautiful flowers are along the path.

nobody at sight. only sound you can hear are the crickets and the occasional sound of a heavy vehicle as the expressway is nearby

It is pretty long stretch of road in the park but I entered from the middle entrance so what I am taking is the left part of it. The right part of it links to another area which I didn’t go.
