Mio’s here! :3
And with her rice bowl goodness! XDD
For the uninitiated (although you really have to be living under a rock not to know), Akiyama Mio is a member of the light music club in the anime K-ON!.
I know a good number of people find the show a massive commercial and moeblob hell but frankly, I enjoyed the show as a slice-of-life anime.
Mio is the first of the 5 characters that will be released in Nendo form.
I think everyone is waiting for Azu-nyan. :3
Well lets get started.
Lovely isn’t she?
For this post, I used the School Life Nendo Playset by Phat!.
As you can see, it fits in very well with Mio’s attire and it should do the same for the rest of them.
As usual, my only gripe with Nendos is that they can’t stand on their own power (with some execptions).
Mio comes with a few sets of arms, one of which provides her a”the thinker” look.
She looks pretty good with it I think. :3
And the following face is probably the favorite among those buying Mio.
Sooo adorable. :3
As a TBE special, I managed to sneak into Ritsu’s house and steal a few photos from her top secret photo album…

The Banzai! Effect, paparazzi since Nov 2008 :3
Yes, it seems the rice bowl is in its place and all’s right with the world. :3
Accessories-wise, Mio comes with her bass and an amplifier.
Each member of the K-ON! gang will come with their own instruments so by collecting them all, you can form a full band with accompanying instruments (curse them and their ingenious marketing tactics >_>).
Speaking of the stand, It is different from all the nendo stands I got thus far, coming in a half moon shape.
Furthermore, the stub that supports the butt rest (lol) now comes in the form of a translucent joint, similar the the joints in the nendo legs.

I find that face kinda creepy……
Interestingly, the stand has a rather amusing shape that resembles something that is quite commonly seen in both K-ON! and in anime in general.
I wonder what that is……
Well, I’ll leave you to figure it out with a final picture.
I hope you like it. :3
In retrospect, I just realised I have stepped into the trap of collecting another series of figurines.
Curses.
