figma Shamal – Big Dress with not so much props

And I continue on about october loots, this time with figma Shamal!

Shamal marks my second Belka Knight in my Nanoha figma collection after Signum.

Shamal, however, doesn’t come with a truckload of weapons like Signum.

However, I do find her armor/battle jacket/whatever very nice indeed.

Kinda gives an elegant feel to Shamal.

However, the major down side is that Shamal is very difficult to pose leg-wise due to the dress.

“With your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!”

All her hands come with her rings (her weapon) which should be the case though still a nice touch of detail.

In all honesty, there really isn’t much to say about Shamal since she never really got much screen time as compared to the other characters.

Although that makes Zafira one really sad puppy indeed since he doesn’t make a full appearance at all in StrikerS (not that I recall).

Would be nice to have a Zafira (human form) figma to make the Belka Knights truly complete.

Needless to say, just like the other figmas of the Nanoha series, the paint transfer potential is extremely high. Which would explain why Shamal came with more plastic than both Tsukasa and Miyuki combined.

Shamal’s design is also rather interesting with a few features I’ve never seen before.

Shamal has an add-on hat/cap just like Hayate but with a difference.

Instead of changing the hairpiece to one with a stub to attach the hat/cap , you lock the cap in along with the hairpiece.

I kinda like the cap.

Also, Shamal’s skirt design is different from the ones used in the figma Nanoha series thus far.

Instead of being a single skirt, it is actually two half skirts, split at the back.

Furthermore, each half skirt is held by a joint peg similar to those used for the elbows.

This allows independent movement of the half skirts and may actually prevent rubbing of the skirts against the body, a problem Signum, Hayate and Nanoha have.
