New Vocaloid “Lily”

New Vocaloid software was announced. It was made by INTERNET Corp they made Gakuppoido and Meguppoido on the past. This picture may remind you Miku Hatsune or others, of couse that was drawn by KEI. She named Lily who is a member of the group “anim.o.v.e.”. They are normally working as Yuri of “m.o.v.e.” except for playing anime songs. This product is made by her voice. We can listen some their songs on myspace.

Lily is going to come on August 25.
Price is 15,750yen.

anim.o.v.e. releases the CD covered some anime and vocaloids songs on same day. If you interested in their songs, you’d better to get it.

Vocaloidシリーズに新しいキャラクターが発表された。製作は”がくとっぽいど”や”めぐっぽいど”でおなじみの株式会社インターネット。おそらくキャラ絵から初音ミクなどを想像された方もいるでしょう、もちろんデザインはKEIさんによるもの。彼女の名前はLily、anim.o.v.e.のメンバーです。（アニメソング以外の楽曲ではm.o.v.e.のYuriとして活動中）本製品はその彼女の声をサンプリングして作られたものだそうです。ちなみにmyspaceで彼女の歌声が聴けます。

Hatsune Miku live concert held on March 9th, gets Blu-ray, DVD, and CD of that event. Its release was announced and retailing on September 1st.

Prices:

Blu-ray 7,350yen,

DVD 6,300yen, and

CD is 3,150yen.

All these items have a special case and a picture label, BD and DVD have the strap that was only sold on the event.

It has been 3 months since the official launch of Ar Tonelico 3 for the PlayStation 3, now the story continues after the events of the game in the form of Drama CDs.

2 versions will be available and retailing at 2940 yen each, one which continues Saki’s ending while the other is for Finnel.

Side Saki ~After Story~ will be launching on June 23 while Finnel’s after story will be available in August 25.

For upcoming Saki’s story, the official site blog mentioned Aoto and Saki is managing a preschool and living on the Earth now.They are worrying about a certain child who was taken by Akane’s care and assigned to the school The child’s name is Linna who is a reyvatail and had lost her parents. Linna was being taught of persecution of humans by reyvatails while she was in Clusternia. As such, she had an oppressive attitude to other children. Aoto and Saki want her to open her mind a bit to the others at least and they have planned to take her to sea with other children, however, they met a interesting person on the sea. Will Saki really make her to open her mind!?

Shimamiya Eiko Reveals She Has Thyroid Cancer

Shimamiya Eiko (島みやえい子) reveals that she has contracted thyroid cancer. In her official site, she have mentioned that her upcoming live concert “Perfect World” will be canceled. Some of her popular titles include the theme songs of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and some of her Jpop titles. She is also one of the vocalists in I’ve sound group.

Best of luck and well wishes that she gets well soon.

For those of you who have noticed my absence in the past week (probably none), I was actually up in the land of the rising sun as part of a family trip.

It was no pilgrimage to the holy otaku lands so don’t expect any such pictures.

Rather, it was a scenery tour of Hokkaido, which I must say makes a great change from the withered yellow grasses of Singapore.

Of course, being a guided tour and all, I visited the usual tourist traps.

The humidity would turn my D5000 into a furry green lump faster than Konata at Comiket not to mentioned I would probably get thrown out first.

But I do have Kagamiku soaking it up in her own private hot spring =D

Thai food in Japan?! What is this I don’t even… (and it was not spicy AT ALL =X)

Since I went to Japan during Spring time (for Hokkaido mostly), I got a chance to see some lovely scenery that I would never get here in Singapore.

It really sucks to be in an urban jungle stuck in the middle of the equator like Singapore sometimes. The constant summer and urbanisation can sometimes limit photography.

I believe that is a problem with cosplay photographers. There just isn’t anywhere new to do a photoshoot in Singapore. =/

Of course, when you talk about spring in Japan, one thing comes to mind and that is cherry blossoms.

I paid a visit to a temple which was plonked right beside a place with those cherry blossoms.

I seriously lol’ed

It was seriously awesome to get to see it up close and IRL. You don’t really get much opportunity in Singapore.

Naturally, Kagamiku wanted to experience the cherry blossoms as well.

Even though I did not expect to encounter anything remotely anime related, such stuff still appear in the strangest places sometimes.

Perhaps it is a testament to how anime and the otaku culture is ingrained into Japanese society?

Japan: Bra That Grows Rice

Triumph, a well known Japanese lingerie company announced its latest creation – rice bra. A bra that is made of recyclable plastic. Its spokesperson mentioned that young Japanese women have taken interest in agriculture over the last year and it will be an interesting concept if one can grow rice with a bra.

How does it work?

The bra will be filled with soil, and rice seedlings, that are watered through a hose that also doubles as a belt that goes around the wearer’s waist. Having said that, the bra also comes with gardening gloves.

Sadly, this concept bra is not for sale.

So if you were thinking of locating women with rice bra, you are out of luck. You could try one though by dangling pots of soil around your chest and plant some stuff on it.

At the end of the day, you might get a surprise with some earthworms crawling on it.

3D Gaming on Xbox 360

This picture could mean one thing – 3D gaming on a Xbox 360. Looks like the PS3 is facing up with some competition here.

In a image quoted on the Korean press release, LG and Microsoft have entered into a partnership to market LG’s new 3D telvisions along with 3D-capable Xbox 360 games in South Korea.

The partnership’s expected to expand further throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Takuya Kimura To Appear In 3D Ad, Dances With Animated Characters

SMAP’s Takuya Kimura will be appearing in tv commercials, one of them featuring about Tea-O’ Black tea will feature Takuya Kimura in a backdrop of animated characters. The ad is pretty interesting as Kimura becomes the king of black tea and dances with the animated characters in the Land of Black Tea.

Amusing as it seems, the special ad will be made viewable in stereoscopic 3D in movie theaters in Japan.

Maria Ozawa in Indonesian Comedy ?

JAV actress Maria Ozawa will be featured in a Indonesian comedy which raised certain concerns among religious groups. While not really being some kind of fan, her name is pretty “well known” in the community. While the sources mention comedy has no elements of nudity or even adult entertainment. Religious groups have allayed concerns with starring a porn actress in the show.

The show is known as “Menculik Miyabi” (Kidnapping Miyabi), classified as a teenage comedy film by Indonesia’s Film Censorship Agency. Naturally, there are mixed reactions from protests to threats in raiding theaters by militant group Islamic Defense Front or FPI.

Reiko Takagaki in “Nissin Cup Noodles Lite” Ad

Quite long ago, we mention about Toda Erika being featured in a Japanese “Nissin Cup Noodles Lite” tv advertisement, she’s hot! Now, Reiko Takagaki (高垣麗子) is being featured in the recent ad. In the ad, her bare back is painted with the Nissin Cup Noodles picture.

She’s 30 this year and looking still pretty. Check out the ad although, I prefer Toda Erika’s ad more.

Gundam Cafe at Akihabara

Bandai is set to open her 2nd Gundam Cafe right in Akihabara outside the Akihabara Japan Railway station on April 24 According to ANN, the location is a 60-seater, 144.2-square-meter café which will serve exclusive Jaburo Coffee made from South American coffee beans and Gun-Pla-yaki — a large-sized, fried take-out dish modeled after the very first 1/144 Gundam plastic model kit ever sold.

Of course, the café will also sell the newest merchandise available.
